    okay I posted this pic on the other post. I suppose one way to find out is to go out and see if they will sting me. But maybe I just do a web search on wasp mimics?

    Geoff, I see what you mean about the antennae. In a wasp they are relatively long and curved. These are shortish and straighter. But until I can find proof positive that these aren't wasps i will walk softly.
