I'm not very good at identifying plants and flowers, but I believe this is an azalea.
Their are a few neighbours that have them growing along their fence lines. They bloom usually in the Spring, around the same time as the bluebonnets.
However, this one is growing wild in the middle of the woods on the property next to ours.
My husband found it by accident while clearing some winter debris. And had me try to get to them through all the under brush, just so I could take pictures.
Technically, I guess I was trespassing....
1. Flower.
2. The plant in its habitat.
