Introductory post
Good day everyone....long time lurker decided to join.
I was recently on a shoot in southern Nevada and Death Valley which is a target rich environment. I have been in this area many times but the object of this trip was to get into some very remote areas and shoot in places that most people just don't go.
I came up with some pretty decent pictures, a couple of which I wanted to share. The first I shot coming out of a little slot canyon. The second was a bit of luck. The moon was visible most of the afternoon. I came across this small arch and after shooting a few I remembered the moon that was at my back. So I climbed around the other side and ended up putting my flash up on top of the arch to light the rocks just in front. Anyway I thought they came out pretty well.

Re: Introductory post
If these are your introductory images, I say we are in for a treat with further postings.
I like the thought/effort that went into setting up and getting the second. Quite brilliant.

Gorgeous! I adore both images, with a slight preference for the 1st image. I hope you choose to share more of your images with us.

Re: Introductory post
Gosh......I'm very flattered. After seeing the caliber of work on here from some these are some real compliments. Thank you all very much.
I hope you all don't mind if I post one more. There is something about the sky out in the desert that, when converted to black and white, allows it to turn black. And I love this as I like sort of over the top pictures that lean toward abstract.
Anyway.....shot hiking up a slot....

Re: Introductory post
I too am fascinated that the very blue sky becomes very black on conversion to B&W and makes for dramatic photos
