Joe, if there's anything that I've learned, it's that fact that if ya begin PP with a stellar image, as you have here...ya gotta really do something incredibly dumb to screw it up.
I kinda like it a lot.
Great capture as usual Joe,and +1 to Chauncey's comment!
David
Very nice, Joe...
William.....what will I do with you? You made my day with that comment...
I was looking for a hairstyle.
Nice image.
Excellent
Stunning - again.
More better....
Increasing clarity works fine ,I personally like the uncropped square frame with more space at the bottom and at the top.IMO landscape like frame doesn't suit such an image .But the image on its own is gorgeous
Excellent content and a real processing challenge against that bright BG. A lot of the feather detail is hidden without a contrasting BG.
But the real problem with this image that I can't let pass without comment is that it's not a mullet. That is a menhaden, commonly known as a pogie. The tail and flat body with sharp belly clearly differentiate it. Mullet are cigar shaped with a wide head that's flat on top and a round mouth. I've used thousands of both varieties as bait when I was commercial fishing
OK. Got my fix of anal retentive expression for the day...

Thank you all for viewing and commenting, truly appreciated.
Dan... Menhaden hmmmm, then Menhaden it is. Makes sense because the bird stole the fish from a fisherman's bucket.
Chauncey... I too for 71 years thought they were Mullet.
I've got a wealth of similar useless trivia. If you'd like I'll share more
