    Aerial view of Gangtok

During my recent trip to North-East India I took a photo of Gangtok in sikkim from ganesh tok. There was lot of fog but managed to get a click. It is a panorama stitch of 6 images.

I am not able to decide if I should make it black and white or colour. I also feel somthing is wrong but not able to figureout! Please suggest,

In my opinion, the image is over-tonemapped. The colours do not look natural and even in the B & W version is can be seen in the clouds that there has been extreme tonemapping.

I think there is a basis of a very good image there. The scene and the composition are good. It is all down to how the image is processed.

I agree with all of Donald's points and want to add that I just love the layers of mountains at the sides and behind the city.

I like it, I can see what attracted you to the scene. I hope you took more images with more variations.

I, as well, think that you need to start over with the post processing...think subtle.

In my opinion, that is a much, much better picture. We can see the buildings more clearly, the sky looks so much more natural, as does the colour of the trees, foliage, etc. The tall tower now becomes much more a focal point and something onto which the eye can be directed.

I think that is now a very good image.
