Liked what I found here at this site and decided to join. I have been a photo enthusiast for about 40 years. I often pick up an hobby because I like to learn stuff, then become fairly knowledgeable and drop the hobby. But photography has hung with me - you never learn enough. So, I'm here simply because I like to learn. I currently shoot a SONY SLT, just upgraded to it and learning - what I really like to do.

Hello Robs and welcome to CiC.

So that you don't continue to get people asking you what your proper name is (if it's not 'Robs'), because most us use that on here, you can go to Edit Profile (under 'Forum Actions' on the Menu Bar), or you can just press on 'Settings' on the menu bar right up at the top right of the window. Once there you can enter the name by which you wish to be addressed under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.

I hope you enjoy being part of this forum and find it useful.
