What it look. Nice capture.
Jeremy, that is one handsome cat.

Hi Jeremy,I like the shot, the cat looks serious and determined
Very nice, Jeremy. Well composed, sharp, and expressive. In the vein of pure ignorance, I'm wondering if the "wild" is facetious, or if in fact there are wild (not feral) cats in Scotland.
No it IS a Scottish wild cat, would rip you open without a moments thought.
So exceedingly rare.
This one is in a wildlife centre in Devon. The keeper wears Builders wellingtons to feed it always aware that it can jump on her, and is more than capable of the claws going through boots.

Thanks for that - all the more lovely, except for the captivity part.
Nice capture Jeremy,it's a real pity that just about the only chance we have of seeing one of these beautiful cats is in captivity!
David, mate of mine has a photo of wildcat taken at Glen Fruin near Luss,.....
It's a cute cat Jeremy, it's a pity the eyes look a bit soft.
Gee, Jeremy, I thought you were having a joke when you said it was a wild cat, but obviously not. It's surprising what I learn about fauna and flora -- and other people and cultures -- on this site. Good shot, too.
Good shot, Jeremy. I too thought you were joking because the first cat looks serene but determined...
Thanks all, as for the eyes, yes, but taken fleetingly as it was feeding time and through a wire mesh
Yes but as it is more endangered than Jaguars it is nice that they are in a breeding program which may help.
I am 100% against zoos for human pleasure, ALL animals should be in the wild, except when we have, yes US, humans, have brought them to almost or actual extinction, then we have a moral duty to help them.
I agree Jeremy. Nice shots too
Thanks
Off into my back garden again now
