Somehow, I like #2 better. I thought the placement is more like it than the first one. I like the shadows in both.

Like Izzie I like the perspective in the 2nd shot better. I wonder if you flipped the first one if it would be a more appealing composition?
Also, I can't help but think that both of these shots are just begging for some added textures and maybe even a grungy effect through some PP magic...If you are so inclined you could try to channel Sharon (Daisy Mae) and see what you come up with
