A gathering of Eagles. Count them.

Last month Terry and I took a trip north, the morning fog cleared and we ran into more Eagles than I'd ever see in one herd. (collective noun..)

The salmon were running. The Snow geese where flying in. The Eagles sat and worked out their menu for the day. Fish or fowl.

A gathering of Eagles. Count them.

    And then there were 2.

A gathering of Eagles. Count them.

    Then there's always the loner...

A gathering of Eagles. Count them.

Wooooh...so beautiful. I like the first one for the numbers and the second and third one for the separation from the herd shots. All three are nicely captured.

Appreciate the comments. The Eagles are always fun to find. I haven't come across that many before though.

Nice captures. What an awesome sight seeing so many at once. I have heard you can see this kind of a site in November, when the salmon are spawning, out by Harrison and Kilby.

What a good set and story. The third one stands out for me as an image.

The most eagles I've ever seen at once is seven. This is amazing!

The "herd" of eagles didn't seem to be the right collective noun, so I looked it up. Most web sites indicate that it is convocation, congregation or aerie. I think I'll go with "group."
