This one is an absolute wow. Maybe just maybe a little crop to the left of the tree trunk will help.

This is a nice place John. If it is near where you live , it is worth shooting with different angles and different compositions. For this shot I like the colours and reflections , but I don't like the dark tree trunk on the left very much.

Thanks Binnur, yes it is a few miles away. The first time I saw it was in winter and knew I wanted to go back in spring or summer.

Great spot with a nice image. I too think the dark tree is a bit to dominant.

This is interesting....I kind of like the tree at the left.

I might look at the white balance....seems kind of green to me.

    Mark,

Thanks for the comments and critique.

When viewed on my monitor at work the tree appears almost black, on my monitor at home I can see detail, mostly shades of gray bark on about 40% of the tree.

    Bob,

Thanks for the comments. I tend to set white balance to Cloudy most of the time, I like the warmth it provides, visually setting WB to Sunny only makes a slight difference to my eyes.

I was referring to making changes in post. But as has been said, this is very subjective so we do what we think is best.
