    Milan (Italy): Abbey of Chiaravalle

Some pictures of the Abbey of Chiaravalle, at the south border of Milan (Italy). Other pictures and basic info about the abbey, which was founded in the XII century, can be found on the page http://www.milanofotografo.it/englis...ano.aspx?ID=58

Exif info of the pictures (lost during processing) can be found on the page http://www.milanofotografo.it/englis...es_e_monuments

All pictures are double exposures separated by 1.5 stops taken with a Panasonic G2, fused using the algorythm on the page http://www.milanofotografo.it/englishFotografiaHDR.aspx and finally optimized using Faststone.

WoW! I've always been intrigued as to how this is done...If you or anyone do not mind walking me through the process, it will be a nice project for me in the very near future after I have absorb it in my mind and practice.

Enrico, this and your previous post are two very nice sets of images. For some images like the views of the full church, if you have the means, IMHO it would be worth correcting the verticals.

Nice images, was the second shot cropped? It seems more could have been included in the shot without cropping across the text.

I'm glad my pictures are appreciated! But most of the merits are of the ones who built and decorated the church!
@Shadowman: None of the pictures is cropped, except the cropping coming from the small rotation necessary to correct the horizon!
@John 2: I have made some thoughts about correcting the verticals, but for the moment my opinion is that I don't want to correct them, because in reality the pictures would look (and are) innatural! Also whan you look with the eys, the verticals are distorted
(take a paper sheet vertically in front of one of your eyes while looking up in a room, and you will see that the borders of the walls are not vertical). Our brain corrects then automatically. So, at least for the moment, I prefer to let the correction to the brain of the ones who look the pictures.
@Izziek: with process you mean taking pictures of this kind?

Thanks for the response Enrico...I've finally found what I am looking for (the same method as I see in your shots) at google early this morning. So don't worry about it for now...thanks again.
