Great Salt Lake Sunset 4/20

I finally got out to enjoy a sunset at the Great Salt Lake. It's been since before Winter that I hadn't been able too They were photographed with the Canon 7D & 10-22MM USM lens and a Cokin P121 GND Filter (for the sky since I used somewhat slower shutter speeds)

Mavourneen, how many times have we heard/read, "it's the light stupid, shoot at the golden hour", well you did just that and it turned out stellar...they're all three great!
Ya might give consideration to making the mountains "go away"

All three are very nice but the detail in the foreground rocks in the first two make those two images quite special for me.

I must have missed this one Mavourneen! The rocks in the foreground really add depth and set the tone for the expanse of sky and profusion of color. Nicely done!

Well done, Mavourneen. My favorite is #2. I like the vertical orientation. The foreground stones lead your eye out to the horizon and sky. The colors are magnificent. We do not need to see the sun to appreciate the beauty in this image.

The 1st & 2nd for me; I find the foreground a bit too dark in the 3rd. I favour the 1st though because I think sunsets need to be panoramic to fully appreciate the majesty of the moment.

Well done, well composed. You didn't get so carried away with the sunset that you forgot the foreground. I like them.
