I have been camped on rivers while boating that have flooded while we never got a drop of rain.

When my wife and I were on our honeymoon more than 30 years ago, we hiked from the floor of Yosemite Valley to Inspiration Point. It didn't rain a drop all day. By the time we returned, the valley had flooded. Instead of walking a short distance across the width of it to get to our car, we had to walk the long way around it and that was in the dark.

Mike I’m not surprised in the least about the rain. Its a little strange seeing a river rise before your very eyes while the sun is shining where you are!

If you’ll notice, I mentioned a flashlight in my pack. I’ve been caught out in the dark more than once for one reason or another. Sound’s like a fun honeymoon though!
