#4 is especially nice. Love the light and the tree! I'd love to see more compositions of the tree, especially with more space around it.
#1 is magical as a monochrome. Consider converting it.

Re: En route to Glen Innes and beyond
Numbers 1 and 5 are really nice. Great composition in 1. 5 could be much improved by removing the blue haze a bit and emphasizing the green. Nice bit of clouds really add to the shot. A nice spot for a shot in at a more favorable time of day lighting wise. That's always a frustration of shooting "along the way" when traveling. We're there when we're there which rarely optimizes photo ops.

Very nice series IMO cropping #2 a little bit from bottom would improve the composition .

Nice series Tony and thanks for sharing. It's No 4 for me, the balance of interest in all areas appeals but it may be worth considering cropping the road out.

I like #1 and #4, Tony. The first for the imposing presence of the mount, and the fourth for the light. Autumn is here and the light is becoming interesting again.

Re: En route to Glen Innes and beyond
Thanks everybody for the comments. I have taken them to heart. Here is a version of #1 in black and white and also of #4 with more space beside the tree and the road cropped out as suggested. I think I might have overdone the clouds in #1 though. The image of the tree is actually a different photograph but similar.
Izzie, I couldn't resist putting in the picture of the cattle. Even though they were not standing in front of a nice scene, they looked very cute. They came running up towards me when I stopped.
