Yellow Rose of North Upland within a natural frame
I took this looking toward a window (in the background) I was able to actually frame the flower within one half of the window, acting as a frame for the picture. I thought it was interesting after I had finished so decided to get some opinions, please feel free to coment.

Well seen, Bob. There are two circular spots top and bottom of the window frame - probably part of the window, but I would clone them out.
If you have the opportunity to re-shoot this, you might try getting the rose a bit more to the right so it doesn't overlap the left hand side of the window frame.

Re: Yellow Rose of North Upland within a natural frame
Thanks Greg, so, I went out to shoot it again, with the combination of it being over casted, slightly windy now, and the flower has extraordinary changed sense the last shot earlier today, it became quite the challenge. I figured if I didn't do it now, it would be a flower tomorrow
. I am not completely happy with it as I had a problem getting it in the right position, as I can't fix it with PP as they are both fixed in a position. I had to slightly move around about a ¼" at a time and this one came the closest. The flower is about 25' from the window. I did look for the spots on the new picture and didn't find any?? But I did see them on the first one as you pointed out, very odd as I just had my sensor cleaned, perhaps it was dust that was cleaned when I turned the camera off, I hope.

Hi Bob, usually when a frame is involved it is added to the finished image or is a random object in the background. By using an actual out-of-focus window frame as framing element, you added a very interesting visual effect. Nicely done!

Thank you gentlemen, I personally don't feel great about the single rose within a frame, (although my boss (the wife) really likes that sort of thing) it was by accident the first time, and I just went with it. There are several other pictures I would have liked to frame naturally, but the circumstance never came up for them ![Smile](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png)
Oh, the flower, it has bloomed, hmmmmm.
