Disturbing the Peace
Open-ocean swimmer training in the harbour, late afternoon... splash... splash... splash...

Heck of a shot, and you're right, best in lightbox. That shoulder/arm seems to be...detached. And very interesting how the water appears so differently in front of the swimmer.

Good shot Greg! I love how you come up with the varied scenes near the beach or in the water...can almost feel the power of the splash of the water this far from your pond.

Re: Disturbing the Peace
Very nice image, I like the reflections in the water as much as the swimmer

Re: Disturbing the Peace
Jack, Paniaa, Izzie, John, Rita, Kyle, Binnur and Mike, thank you all, I appreciate your comments.
Jack, I think he was tiring, his head seemed to be too low in the water - ploughing through it - so his arms were coming out at odd angles.
I was sitting on the breakwater soaking up the afternoon sun and admiring the reflections of the boats on the water and considering when would be the best time to try photographing some. All the while I could hear this guy sploshing along somewhere out of sight, and then he came into view from behind a yacht, chopping up the reflections. But the backlighting on the water he was splashing up caught my attention and this is the result.
