    My wifes favorite

Lilly of the Valley are my wifes favorite fragrance...too bad it looks like she will be out of town when they bloom
I told her I would send her pictures of the blooms and she could pretend that she could smell them. I don't think she sees the humor

I went mono with these because I felt all the green was just too much.

    C&C most welcomed.

You're getting better and better, Jon. You make both compositions look easy because they appear so natural but I know better. The subject in each one is immediately obvious and it's not just because of expert use of depth of field.

In the first one, try toning down the bright areas in the background a bit so they don't distract us from the subject.

Thanks Mike. I will work on the 1st one a bit.

Sending my wife pictures of her favorite is one small way of getting even with her for heading to Dauphin Island Alabama without me. I originally had no intentions of going with my wife, daughter and 2 of my daughters friends until I googled the area and saw the photo ops there. I may have to go with out her next time

It's not worth trying, Jon. Wives are smarter and more wily than husbands, at least in my case.

Well stated Mike...and the fact that I don't think I would survive 15hrs in the car with 3 babbling 20 year old females.

Looks like hyacinth to me. I prefer the scent of lily of the valley, more subtle, fresh. It grows wild here.

Definately not Hyacinth...and I will prove it in about a week when they bloom.

Izzie, you want to know my secret??

I walk out into the yard, lay down on the grass and look around for something interesting. If I don't see it I pick another spot and repeat. It is rather simple.

Oh, and I take LOTS of pictures so the odds are that I may end up with one or two keepers
