Looks like a wonderful series to me Joe. The straight at you look of the Osprey is special.

Always a delight to view your images. I love the spoonbill and the perched osprey, but I especially love #3 for the special scene. I've never seen a heron amongst so many vultures, and even the vultures look beautiful.

Hello Joe: I have been away from this site for quite some time. It is good to see that you are continuing to post such awesome bird shots. I particularly like the one of the spoonbill with the beautiful pink hues. I have never seen a bird quite like that.

I think Joe continues to set amazingly high standard in terms of the quality of images that we see on here. Bobo's bird photography does the same. Between them they provide the sort of templates that others who want to specialise in bird photography, can study and learn from.

Joe, these are wonderful shots, as always. I have learned a great deal from you over the years and appreciate your postings. The Roseate Spoonbill is so beautiful. I was really hoping to photograph one on my last trip but only saw 2 as they flew out of a deep creek before I even knew they were there.

Love the judge and jury and yes I did count the number of vultures.

    The Osprey shots are superb!

Great images as usual Joe. I like them all but #3 is special for me. I love doing osprey in summers. That #3 is one of the shots that have eluded me including ones of them in trees eating their catch. Perhaps was just too lazy to go looking. AND that #3 has inspired me to do just that this summer. Thanks for posting it.

As well as being in awe of the sort of images Joe & Bobo put up here, I am also a member of the Scottish Wildlife Trust and follow the blog from its Loch of the Lowes reserve where the oldest known female osprey has again returned and is currently sitting on 3 eggs.

There is tremendous image on the blog entry for May 2nd, showing an intruder trying to alight on the nest. If you go to the blog entry and then click on the image, you will see at a larger size. It's a beauty. Click here.
