    Three guns

A week ago, I went to an island. Corregidor, in the Philippines. It is the site of the last stand in the Philippines of Allied forces against Japan during WWII. I took this picture midday and the light was really harsh. I just wanted the three guns in the picture showing that is it overlooking the sea it was guarding. C &Cs are most welcome. How can I improve on this. I shot it with a canon 60d aperture priority 6.3. 1/ 400s 24-105@24mm.

I think you did very well considering the limitations of the light. For an alternative composition, consider displaying only the gun on the left by using a square crop, which will then require digitally removing the part of the middle gun that is displayed at the right side of the frame.

Mike's correct in the light thingy...you've overwhelmed the dynamic range of the camera...no shadow detail.
Try to get the light in a better direction...different time of day.

Thank you Mike, Chauncey and John. I was really at a lost how to tame the sunlight here. In this part of the world the sun is a bit unforgiving almost through out the day especially this time of year (dry season). I will try the crop as suggested by Mike.
