    Minerva Terrace

Minerva Terrace, Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone NP. I drove to Yellowstone the week before last. The weather varied considerably as it does this time of year. This was a crisp morning with fresh snow and hot water to make for a lot of steam. PP in LR 5.4.

I like that very, very much (don't like that watermark slapped on it at the bottom). Beautifully composed and gorgeous colour.

That's a good image. Brings out he character of the place and as has already been said, nicely composed.

Your wonderful image reminds me that I could visit Mammoth Hot Springs at least six times each year and be thrilled to do so.

I wonder if you realize that, if I had a mind to steal your photo, it would take about two seconds to completely eliminate your watermark and still have an equally nice photo. That would be even if I had absolutely no post-processing skills.

Thanks to you all for the comments. I'll have to find an invisible watermark!

I like you add a watermark to images that I choose to post on line, I'm aware of how easy, as Mike has said, that it is to remove such watermarks. However I retain mine, mainly vanity I suppose but also to assist people who may wish to respond to a post using the OP's real name rather than their forum user name.

Wow... Absolutely gorgeous! I love the perspective, composition, colours and the mist... I have yet to visit Yellowstone but dreaming of visiting after viewing your image.

I edited the watermark out of the image. I hope you like it better this way. I do.

Thank you Christina. I wouldn't want to visit during the summer as it's way too crowded and the traffic is horrendous. I go from late September through the end of May or early June. Most of the Park is closed to automobiles from early November to early April but the North Entrance to Mammoth and the Lamar Valley to Cooke City is open year round. The high season rates are over too.

Absolutely. Now we don't have that distraction, it's even better. Beautiful image.
