    Psyche (Leptosia nina) butterfly

The Psyche (Leptosia nina) is a small butterfly of the family Pieridae (the Sulphurs, Yellows and whites) and is found in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. The upper forewing has a black spot on a mainly white background. The flight is weak and erratic and the body of the butterfly bobs up and down as it beats its wings. They fly low over the grass and the butterfly rarely leaves the ground level.

That's a really good image. Perfect BG to emphasise the insect. Can you lose that blurry blob at the bottom?

Excellent shot Nikhil, you can rotate it 90 degrees clockwise for another nice composition if you want

    Hi Nikhil,

It's possible to pull a bit more detail out of the wings if you want to. Not sure what software you use but in ACR I pushed the recovery slider up to 50% ann in Elements darkened the highlights slightly.

What I like about this image is the green eyes being complimented by the greenery of the flower.

Hi Nikhil, rotated one has given another composition but IMO the original is more powerful. I personally don't like signatures and watermarks on the photos, yours is small at least

Nikhil, I would stay with the first (well, second, blob removed) version. Much more natural. Great shot. The butterfly looks like it's wearing an ermine cape, awesome.

I thought it was a ballgown, but an ermine cape is better. Nice image.
