I think Eric may be a squash bug... Gorgeous detail, and #3 is simply gorgeous...Gorgeous on pink!
I love that you capture your critters and true to life moments/behaviours, as is in nature...
Thank you Christina, I thought of our female members when I chose the prop for him to work with
I really like the angles in #2, I thought 'bug work' was something I would never have an interest in, but I am truly amazed by how restful it is wandering around a lovely garden chasing a bug.... or in my case bumblebee
Excellent images. really
Another 2 nearly converts to insectography and bug-o-graphy, Grahame. You do such good work on them, members are drawn to want to do it, too.... Very soon we might have an insect and bugs forum here...
Thanks Kay, I do not do much bug shooting outside due to wind where I am and needing to get level or below them for the type of shots I try to get. Actually looking for the bugs can be quite a pleasure but I find once I get them in front of the camera it's certainly not restful trying to get the camera in the right position and focused whilst they are determined to not stay still
Hi Izzie, not sure about separate forums as I have to say I like the set-up here where so many different areas of photography are contained in one place. The other problem of course would be what you call it?
a) Bug-o-graphy
b) Insect-o-graphy
or
c) Critter-o-graphy

Last year we did have a Post Your Insects Here thread where anyone was encouraged to add their recent shots.
Easy to start another; the only problem is that it does get a bit long after a few months.
What do other people think?
You're on, Geoff...I believe it will create a few responses and if it goes on forever, God Bless You...
Ok, my own view on this.
Personally I do not believe a single thread for people to post their bug shots is a good idea. There are times when an image or images are posted not just to show a certain ?????? type bug but also to discuss/debate/demonstrate technique, style etc. A single thread would soon get extremely messy and make it more difficult to track and respond.
The other thing is where do you draw the line, do we have separate areas for baby shots, street, sunrises, buildings....................................B&W, you get my drift
Sorry, forgot one. "Humour"
