    King parrots

I was about to step into the shower a few days ago when three king parrots landed in the bushes outside the bathroom. I quickly got my camera and went outside and managed to get a few shots of them (giving a new meaning to the idea of shooting raw).

This first was taken with the lens at 125mm and is not cropped at all at the top and bottom.

These birds seemed to be rather tame. They were more interested in finding something to eat in the trees than in me.

Well captured Tony, and not a hint of over-exposure. Thankfully you haven't posted a "selfie".

Awesome shots. Great colour. Really like #2 with it peeking out from the leaves.

It's really a great image, but a selfie in the eye...that's the "pièce de résistance"

Shooting in the raw, you mean? I like both of your shots...They are very colourful.

Thanks for all the comments. I thought I was going to get castigated for the accidental missing of the tail in the first.

Well, I did not want to break the camera, given my age and conformation.
