I think it's made more difficult to find food photography because everyone labels their thread differently. Probably best to search for descriptive terms such as "Ooooohm" or "Yummy". Nice images, I like the first one for its clarity, style, and meal choice. 2nd image has a bit too much DOF, and the third doesn't have enough presentation or sharpness.

Carabao milk -- I have been craving for those for a long, long time...lechon, dinuguan with puto, taba ng talanka (did I say this last one right?)

I like the first one too..nice presentation, makes me want to sit down and eat but we cooked pancit last night for dinner. #2 is a bit too much. One suggestion, try to put only a few on the plate for the photoshoot or pile them up like a pyramid then see how it looks like first.

#3 Buttered crab fat! -- you are killing me! I used to just feed my face with that straight from the pot! Those were the days....I can't even find proper fish eggs around here where I live...

thanks John, first image was taken before lunch, without the photobombers (my kids) thats why it was plated well..the 2nd and 3rd one were done in a hurry, notice the brown thing on the upper right corner of the 3rd image? that's my son's hand, trying to grab the plate and the wife's yellin, "i'm hungry"!!..

book a flight then Izzie , the best lechon we've tried is from Cebu and the other is in Espana ave, i think its Almar's? i'll cook crispy dinuguan just for you..yup, you said it right, and that's what i used in making the buttered crab fat, i usually cook sugpo in aligue or taba ng talangka, smothered in butter to level up our cholesterol to the max
this is the plated dinner of the 2nd and 3rd image..can't propped up the shrimp, sorry

No reason for apologies Erick. Sure beats the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which is about the limit of my culinary skills! So I’ll add a big “yummy” for future search purposes!

But I’m getting a pretty heavy color cast/exposure problem with these (red, I think) and some serious clipping.

Not so much that it isn’t easily fixable.

At the risk of not being invited to dinner here is a quickie auto fix and the rest may be a little more prominent.

    What do you think?

The colour looks much better now on my screen. Would it be a WB problem? In any cases, I feel we will all gain weight before summer. Yummy from me too.

Just a little white balance issue I think. And a slight exposure adjustment after correcting the WB. Not a big deal but I would think accurate WB/exposure would be a must for the most mouth-watering effect! As John said to get the highest "Ooooohm" factor!

If all you culinary wizards keep posting this stuff I'm going to have to change my summer swim trunk size from size L to size EG (extra gut)!

thanks for the quick fix Terry, not to worry, you are all welcome to drop by..yes Louise, its WB, i used the shade setting on my d90, and the light on top of the bar where i took the shoot is a warm daylight, hence the yellow shade/cast.. and forget the weight gain too, i've been blamed a thousand times for their ruined diet..let us just enjoy the meal sans guilt feeling..indulge and bulge
