It's a nice picture with story-book colours but there is a sort of dispiriting feeling about it.

Perhaps it's a candidate for one of Kevin McCleod's Grand Design programs.

    Edwin,

The subject and composition is good enough to keep the colours natural. No need to “enhance” the image by fiddling with too much PP.
This shot will make a great B&W image.

Like this very much. It is the sort of subject in a strong and simple image like this that invites feeling. I wonder what feeling the scene evoked for you that you wanted to convey in the image. For me it is a lonely, bereft sort of thing that might want a heavier treatment of the sky, and/or monochrome.

Yes, it looks like an image from an illustrated story book; probably that is its specialty

Colours look a bit too saturated but very nice image Also B&W might work fine .

Image converted to B&W in Lightroom 5, as suggested.
    What do you think?

I agree with the others on the colors were a bit over saturated. The B&W looks terrific.

Love the black & white conversion Edwin. I has that lonely feeling that one senses when seeing an only building that is no longer in its hay day.

B&W wins for me. Nice shot.
