Re: Bumble Bee
I'd rename this image flowers and a bee, the flowers dominate. Nice effort.

Re: Bumble Bee
Hi Ben and welcome to CiC. A couple of suggestions; the DoF seems fairly shallow so the flowers in the foreground are a bit OOF. Not much you can do about that but I think in PP you can bring out some more detail in the bee. The image seems to have a lot of pixels, if you go for a tighter crop, basically the central cluster of pedals and the bee, I think it may be a stronger image.

Re: Bumble Bee
Thanks for the feedback. It was shot at f8. Here is a closer crop.

Re: Bumble Bee
I think the crop is successful - sufficient pixels and no noise. Perhaps the bee can be brought up more? I find knowing DOF for shots like these difficult; I lack the experience to have a feel for what I am going to get, and find the DOF preview inadequate, so when I have sufficient time, (you didn't here, with your moving subject) I bracket the f-stop to see later what worked best.
