I like the posture and the details in the wings very much Brian It seems a bit overexposed but you can recover it with PP anyway. And adding some contrast might improve the image.

Brian, beautiful shot! The feathers are very sharp, just too small to view enlarge for comfort. Maybe 1200 or 1600 on the longest side will give more viewing pleasure to picknit it?

A lovely capture Brian. As others have noted, the image is a bit flat and could benefit from some Local Contrast Enhancement and if it is available, perhaps a bit more breathing space all around. I wish I could capture BIF that are this tantalizing!

Hows this then? It was shot on my morning walk and I just did a quick edit before running off to do errands.

Unfortunately, I can't do a lot to give it more space. It was accelerating and the next shot had lost an inch of bill.

That shows the necessity of PP. Really nice shot.

Perhaps the reason that people like me have not been posting bigger images is that the preview does not display them fully even though they post correctly. There appears to be a bug in the system.

    It's a good shot nevertheless.

I generally resize everything to 1024x768 for web display on forums, or my blog, etc. As it happens a lot of digital exhibitions use that as a maximum size although there are some that will allow larger sizes.
