Interesting concept, John. You have some nice colours in there; I would try cropping the foreground up to the bottom of the stone beneath the red brick wall.

Where in the world did you find this exciting dig? Each and every things and objects in them are exceptionally exposed. I like the composition, grit of the sand...and the angle you did on this shot.

Well seen john. I wonder why decay makes interesting photographs?

    Greg,

Thanks for the comments and critique, I'll give your suggestion a try.

    John,

Thanks for the comments. I think decay gets us to thinking about our own lives, what we've neglected, what we've taken for granted.

    Isabel,

Thanks for the comments. The structure is the foundation walls of an Erie Canal brothel recently excavated. The walls are about six feet high and I plan to do a photo shoot at this location, hopefully my models won't be put off with the history of the site.

A couple of edits of the first image and another angle.

    1st crop.
    Back to Nature
    2nd crop.
    Back to Nature
    Different angle.

I like the second one, John...the sand is more prominent here than the other crops.

I think the 3rd one - with the frontal perspective - relates more of what your title suggests.

    Isabel,

Thanks for the comments. I think the sand adds to the imagery as well.
