Tarn Hows
Back on my quest for landscapes this year. Tarn Hows is a small beauty spot just north of Coniston Water in the English Lake District. This isn't a new image. It's been reprocessed though. I occasionally find that in going back to images, I can sometimes improve on them. C&C welcome as always.
Nikon D7000
18-200mm Nikkor
1/800th sec @ f10 ISO 400
Converted and processed in CS6 and Nik SFX Pro

Re: Tarn Hows
John...very nice view and good shot too. I like the curve of the road more on the corner of the frame if possible...I like the black and white treatment you gave to it. My eyes love to wander through the rest of the composition to see what lurks behind the small tree...Good one.

Re: Tarn Hows
Great composition, conversion and toning. Try darkening the brightest area of the sky, as that pulls my eye away from the land and trees.

Re: Tarn Hows
Nicely done John, well worth the revisit.
Come to think of it I wouldn't mind a revisit...

Agreed. A good scene definitely worth the effort of reworking.

Re: Tarn Hows
Thanks all for the comments. It is a lovely area. The "Tarn" in the title is a small lake and is just off to the right. Doing this has made me want to go back myself Ken.

Re: Tarn Hows
Nice image, John, and makes me think about going back to some landscapes from before I did any b&w.
Unexpected, too. I was anticipating the standard tourist shot from above the lake.
