    Blue Jay

I am glad to see this bird in my backyard. They have noticeably absent in the past few years due to West Nile Virus.

Nice capture, Randy. I like the way the subject is framed by the branches.

Randy everything here is nice and sharp and the composition is great but it will be nicer if you put a little bit of shine in your birdie's eyes...

My only nit from shooting out my office window is that it faces due south, I can never get the eye shine. In this situation, i was able to capture more detail due to overcast skies. One of those trade offs, I reckon.

Very nice shot. These guys are tricky to photograph. I can never get them in a natural setting. Occasionally, one will sit at my feeder, but I prefer the framing that you were able to capture. I had no idea that this bird was so threatened by West Nile Virus. I am not that far from Minnesota and come to think of it, I do believe they have been less prevalent here???

Eye shine to me is the holy grail of wildlife shots.....it has to be natural.......really a situation where I can but I don't. Just kinda' what makes it fun
