I will be critical, as "nice" says nothing, I have commented on such comments before, nice..... why.
As a basic website for a person showing photos, it is ok, similar to a facebook setup, a place that is fine for showing off your images that interest you.
If it were a site to attract people to pay you, it falls down on so many levels.
One example in Devon and Cornwall "Newquay Cornwall" the horizon is sloping !, ditto in St Mawes, and Fistral beach...... old paddling pool
The plain white background drowns out the photographs
I can't comment on the "art" as this is something I do not do, but it is interesting.
I would say "Photographs by" not Photos
Please remember you did ask, just commenting.

I like your site as well! The font selection is original as I've not seen that one before. I agree the white background is too bright, I'd prefer a softer tone. There's a typo on the about page: "I see photography an capturing". I also noticed that some of the photos don't enlarge when you click on them, it only shows a thumbnail sized image... see the last few images on the "Devon and Cornwall" page. There may be more, I didn't check them all. Hope this helps.
What is the purpose of your website?
Notwithstanding the request to know the purpose, general comments are:
1. The Photographic Art is very interesting - I spent the most time there.
2. Attention to detail is important - fix up the two spelling/grammar mistakes in the "about" section: "image's" and "photo's".
You have written them as possessive nouns, neither nouns are possessive case, but both are simply plural nouns: “images” and “photos”.

Besides the issues already mentioned in previous posts, I don't believe fancy fonts work for a complete website, but can be successfully used to emphasize a specific topic.
Fancy fonts are notoriously not that easy to read. But I'm the first to admit that it's my personal opinion. I prefer a plain sans-serif.
Hi Louise,
To me it is clear that your intention is not to sell images – there is no link to “BUY NOW”.
A website to post your images leaving some value in images, to future generations. Great idea!
The site is user friendly and the links take you where it is supposed to. Uncluttered and simple, fast opening pages.
Well done!
Hi Louise, Perhaps I could add a suggestion? What if you were to add titles and perhaps some background information to the images? Like what you see here on CiC, the titles and background add interest to the images and give the viewer something to look for in the image and something to both consider and remember the image by. For an example, take a look at the website in my signature line, below.
Thanks for your comments,
I chose a white background for now as I thought it might be a bit distracting to have another picture in the background. I have corrected some of the typing errors. There are many designs but when I change it, I will have to make a note of the pictures in the headers as they tend to vanish. The plain white background drowns out the photographs
Thanks for your kind comment. I would like to sell one day, but as soon as I get used to doing a website then I'll go pro. Until then I can only learn. To me it is clear that your intention is not to sell images – there is no link to “BUY NOW”.
It's a bit city, but I'll get rid of it. (the map, not the city)Ah wouldn't use Google maps tae show folk where ye live...
If it's the one's I am thinking of, they may get the chop soon.I also noticed that some of the photos don't enlarge when you click on them, it only shows a thumbnail sized image.
Not sure how to do that on Weebly, anyone know how please? What if you were to add titles and perhaps some background information to the images?
I enjoyed your web site. Very nice of you to mention other photographers both past and present.
I’d still like to know the specific reasons Knowing the reason for the existence of anything, makes it much easier to give targeted feedback on the construction and content.
Thanks,
WW
Don't take my comments the wrong way.
Many people respond to "what do you think of this photo" with
Great, Nice, Good.
This says nothing at all and is of NO help.
I elaborate, if I don't like (or do) something I say why, I am pleased some others picked up on spelling errors, we all make mistakes, hence using a word processor and spell check before posting to a site, mistakes here are trivial, on a website they can be fatal, showing a lack of thought.
Oh and I don't like the text either, perhaps a different easier to read font
Since I know how to adjust/write html to a limited degree I am able to avoid the pure white background which glares at one being the brightest possible thing on the monitor.
In this line of code "<BODY LINK="#0000ff" VLINK="#800080" BGCOLOR="#c0c0c0">" the adjustment is the BGCOLOR which is in Hexadecimal Code [ 16 base ] and I play with adjusting the three sets of letters c0c0c0 to perhaps d0d0d0 to change the 'grey level' of the background ...sorry I cannot be more specific as it is quite awhile since I set up a page and have forgotten
I think, as said earlier, that it's a nice website. It's not bad, it's not great but it is nice. It doesn't give a proffessional impression if that's the intention. It gives me the feeling of an amateur-photographer who want's to share the hobby with others.
As mentioned there are pictures that have thumbnails bigger than the actual picture which looks really bad in the overview.
So, It's a nice web-site.
Do you know how to change the white background in Weebly please? I cant afford a professional website as I would have gone for one if I could.
Sorry I know nothing about Weebly and only know what little I do know, that I have not forgotten, from some years back my Windows Word programme had the ability to write html and the option to read the code ... sadly it no longer has this facilitiy so if I want to write a new page or change the front page and shift photos to a 'year' page I have to read the code of an existing page and copy what I want. I am hosted by Yahoo and they have a File Manager which enables this ... I have never used a ready made format as I guess you have done with Weebly. It costs about UKP60 per annum for what I have ... my 'brag site'
Check mine I use the same, go into
