    Fascinating web structure. What size do the spiders grow to over there. Here in Oz maybe the size of your hand would be the biggest

    The largest I have seen measures about 9 inches leg tip to leg tip with a body about the size of a reasonably sized thumb. Their webs can stretch 4 meters anchor point to anchor point and they are strong enough to catch sparrow sized birds. And yes it takes a few days but the spider ill consume the bird.

    Cant wait to tell Cindy this in the morning. Our next trip overseas may or may not be to the Philippines, depending on how she takes this useful info.
