Northern Flicker
Hi All,
Spring has got me inspired again after several months away from the camera...
A bit off focus, (nailed the tree though!) but I thought I would share this shot of the elusive Northern Flicker's underbelly that you rarely get to see.

Re: Northern Flicker
Gee, good capture, Monte. I have never seen such a bird. You have caught the wing motion beautifully.
Nice tree, too. Did the bird make that hole?

Re: Northern Flicker
Beautiful bird Monte, thanks for sharing Although it is a bit OOF , posture and colours are superb. Is it possible to clone the green part next to the head ?

Re: Northern Flicker
I have flickers out my way Monte and you are right when you say elusive. I recognize the difficulty in the shot your attempting. For that reason I can truly appreciate your image. They are beautiful birds.

Re: Northern Flicker
Thanks all,
I will try to get a better shot in the next few months while it raises its young from this nesting tree I was fortunate enough to find.
