Mandevilla - Large Yellow Tube
A new flower in the garden, first flower on this plant, it is now about 8' high flower is on top. I have smaller versions of this tube flower, but I really like this one as well. Used a macro 100mm lens so I could leave both foreground and background somewhat out of focus and tried to get about 2" depth for the flower itself. Please freely comment.
Regards
Bob

Re: Mandevilla - Large Yellow Tube
Very nice image, I would prefer the green leaves in focus too, but it must be difficult with a macro lens

Thanks you John. Bnnrcn, no it is not difficult to to change the DOF, it's all about settings. I appreciate your comment, but I'm teaching myself about more exact DOF and that is why I used that photo as more of a practice on the subject. But thank you.

Very nicely done, Bob. Your management of DOF works for me, and I'm impressed to hear your getting a handle on it. If I had been attempting this I would have had to bracket f-stops and check later, especially shooting a macro.
