Out of the fog

Took my 'new' camera down to the park for a tryout and all I saw was grey fog. Then it started to lift as this tug towing a raft of logs came through. Taken in colour
I took it as sign of good pics to come...




Well some were good and some not so. Isn't that the way...

The wait worked out well. Very nice. Makes me wonder if us outdoor shooters wouldn't do better spending more sitting in one great place and waiting for things to get right, and less time traipsing around.

It was my now old and retired Oly E500 David. With kit lenses. I got some wonderful shooting times out of it. Not always the best but fun.
I retired it last month for a Nikon D600. So much more light...!!!

I know what you mean John. I tried to get everything. The fog, the sound (Puget Sound that is ) Rule of thirds ??? a third to the left anyway.
I think it was the best available at that moment though.

Landscapes are something that are so elusive for me. Maybe lack of good scenery or lack of skill. Probably more lack of patience.

So when I see a great landscape all I can do is admire it and wish...
