Thanks, folks. I've learned a lot about B/W in a few months here on CIC. There are definitely times when it can really make an image. Any many nuances to it as demonstrated with this image. I really appreciate the feedback.
Jack, I do plan on sending the print framed and ready to go.

Nice capture Dan. The conversion really works well and simiplifies the scene quite nicely.
I suspect that the colour version would not have been quite as compelling...
