    Oh, I don't know. That's good set.

I particularly like the 3rd one. Why? Because you've composed it without any significant background clutter - That white van behind the tail could maybe be cloned out. The aircraft isa well placed and at a good angle in the picture.

Interesting bit of history. Many soldiers took there last plane ride in one of those seventy years ago less a few days. I agree with Donald that the third image is best. Nicely composed, plane at a great angle, clean yet contextual BG. Thanks for sharing.

All good shots, although I would listen to the Donald. The shutter priority worked well.

Good memories for me. I actually jumped out of one of these birds as part of an exhibition with the Paras. Many years ago.

I see that today's Herald (our leading quality national newspaper) has a picture of this on its front page. It's not as good an image as those above.

Re: 70 years on DC-47 Lands in Scotland

I had the pleasure of having a look around ''Whiskey 7 '' today and meeting her crew. So, somemore shots , C&C very welcome. Most shots were taken close up due to the crowds.

But going in close like this can produce dramatic images and often tell you much more about the subject that seeign the whole thing. These are very good.

Dedric it is only here for 2 days , enroute to Normandy, as an ex-aircraft engineer it was of great interest to me, for engineering, aviation and photographic reasons. It is amazing how you take for granted what you do as a job, but other people find interesting.
