Dear fellows; On set 3, I showed an islet full of volcanic rocks (Tintoreras Islet). The islet has no volcano on it; the lava reached the islet by one of the many local lava tubes. The entire archipelago was formed by volcanoes activity, about 5 million years ago. This time I am sharing one of the lava tubes. This one is located on Santa Cruz Island and is open to visitation. It is located on a private property; you get there by taxi (4x4 truck) and pay the entrance straight to the owner, who will gently explain you about the tube, the geological formation, length of the path, etc. Also, ticket includes a flashlight (torch) that you return after finishing the trail and the owner, a madam, will gently offer you lots of different types of banana from the property (Ecuador is one of the biggest banana producers). This tube is over 2.000m long! Hope you like it. Next on: back to the animals.
1 - Entering the tube...
2 - Humid...
3 - ...and dark.
4 - I liked the wall textures
5 - After quite a while...the exit.
6 - Getting out of the tube.
MOD EDIT - Put standard English 'a' into title to allow it to be picked up instead of system listing it as 'Unknown Title'
