Flower

Caught this image while trying to focus on a deer in the distance. Ended up focusing on this and finding it looked really nice. I'm not good with flowers so I have no idea what it is.

Good idea. A good uncluttered background.

You've gone for a very, very narrow depth-of-field. Be interesting to read views on that. For me (and it is a matter of personal taste) I would have gone to get the whole flower head in focus.

Thanks for the comment Donald. For this one it was more of an accidental capture so I didn't have an aperture set for it specifically. After I saw that this shot worked out I took a few others but I found that this one really kept the background clear.
