    My B&W Weekend - Part 2

A few weeks ago when I began thinking about my weekend of photography in western Maryland, I decided to think and shoot everything in black-and-white. I have never done that before, as I have always thought in color or black-and-white, depending on what was appropriate for the scene I was photographing. Now that I've focused entirely on monochrome for the weekend with very few exceptions when a couple of scenes were just begging to be photographed in color, I can really appreciate why people such as Donald make very few color photos in an entire year.

Though I didn't title a thread as Part 1 of my B&W weekend, that thread would have been this one.

Now on to Part 2: This series of photos was captured in Oakland, Maryland, a small country town with some historic buildings including a train station built in 1884 now being used only as a museum.

Photo 2: St. Peter's Episcopal Church (Built by the same person responsible for building the train station. Four U.S. presidents have worshiped at the church.)

Photo 4: B&O Train Station (Some day when I've got time to kill, I'll spend hours eliminating the electrical wires while preserving the intricate pattern in the exterior of the building. Sheesh!)

Very nice series. I could see some white lettering emblazoned across the wires in the fourth image, old style telegraph message or just the name of the station.

That's a great set Mike. I don't know why you don't do more. Are these conversions or Mono SOOC.

    Thank you, everyone!

All of them are conversions, John, using a color filter. Not SOOC. Not desaturated.
