    My B&W Weekend - Part 3

Casselman River Bridge State Park in western Maryland includes the original bridge (also called Castleman's River Bridge) and a view of its modern metal replacement. When the original bridge was built in 1813, it was the longest single-span stone arch bridge in America. Now used only by pedestrians, it was used for vehicles until 1933.

I like them both, maybe the second a bit more. Any chance you can clone out the billboard in #2

Lovely Mike. The new span looks lit up somehow in its upper members which I don't understand. There are ( or used to be ) epic brown trout in the Casselman and I enjoyed several happy fishy afternoons in this pretty area before I was taking pictures. So nice to see these.

    Re: My B&W Weekend - Part 3

    Thanks, everyone!

Jack: I could easily remove the billboard and decided not to. I don't have any strong feelings about that sort of thing but a feeling of the need for documentary accuracy came over me. I could easily change my mind about that a few days from now.

Mark: The metal bridge just happened to be lit that way by the sunlight. The bright areas of the bridge are the same in the color version as well.

I particularly like no.1 Mike but I would like to see that bright angled area on the RHS of the arch taken down a bit.

Thank you to Shadowman and John 2!

John 2: Thanks for mentioning that one bright area. I already considerably reduced that brightness but perhaps should reduce it some more.
