Agfa Billy 0 - New aquisition.

My other half and I recently found ourselves in a bric-a-brac sale as you do, and I found this. It's an Agfa Billy 0 circa 1920-1930 and I was attracted by the Art Deco styling. It came with its original soft leather case and at £18 (about $30) it was a bargain even though the shutter needs some attention and the focus ring is seized. These mechanical problems can usually be corrected by a good service but the important thing is that the bellows is sound and in very good condition and there is no sign of fungus on the lens. It uses 127 film which is no longer made. However there is the possibility of supplies becoming available towards the second half of this year. If it does, I may spend some money on a service and put a film or two through it. In the meantime, it will remain a display item.

Fun old camera John. Interesting composition.
Hope you can find some film.
I have couple similar just for display. One had exposed film in when I acquired it "Family on the beach scenes"
I loved Agfa film in my 35mm days, especially for high country hiking scenery, it gave some excellent tonal quality.

Thanks for all of the comments. Just a bit of fun on a wet afternoon.

Ken, I have one or two old folders and had the same experience but in my case it was just shots of some fields. Served to show that the bellows/back had no leaks though.
