A little different

I went a different route with my B&W processing than I normally go.
Looking for comments and critique as I am still on the fence with this one. I would normally go with a high contrast but thought I would throw myself a curve last night.

I think, Jon (but I'm not sure) If you want a softer look you need something different with the background? Possibly more along the lines of a 'dreamy' look? At the moment the background is over powering the subject. Basic idea certainly has potential though.

Should there also be a glass alongside the bottle? Would that increase the 'foreground interest' and over ride the background?

And with that particular shot there is of course a problem with that reflective spot in the background.
