    Florida Sunset

Was out for a ride with the family driving down random roads we didn't know to see where they went. After passing several rather ominous signs near rock mining land, we turned around after approaching a empty (but somehow even more ominous) guard shack. Driving back, everyone "ooh'd" and "ahhh'd" at how beautiful the sky was. So my very kind family was very patient while I setup the tripod, etc. to see what kind of shots I could get. This is one of what I turned up.

I welcome any comments and feedback.

I would crop from the bottom and right side, Julius.

Possibly reduce the darker area by around half?

This is cropped some from what I originally shot, but will definitely crop some more and see what it looks like. I kept it in to try to highlight the three different sets of greens, but it is difficult to see at this exposure. I'll also see if I can grab one of the other exposures I shot as well where the three sets of greens are better exposed. This was the best compromise I shot between being able to see the trees and not blowing out the setting sun.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion, Geoff.

Here's a couple of retakes after taking Geoff's advice and cropping some more from the bottom and right.

Julius,IMO your first crop works better. Actually I can't see any difference between your first crop and last crop except for the noise. Crop makes the sky stand out more

Yes Binnur... Sorry. I should have mentioned that. Both retakes have the same crop. The second just adds a bit of a vignette and grain as you noticed. I was messing around and felt like that one was somehow more appropriately moody, and I liked that treatment enough to share it.
