    Easter Lily Home

Here's a couple shots of an Easter Lily my wife received. It was potted when she got it, but we decided to replant it in our garden; it took some spider less than an hour or two to make it home.

Nice capture, I like the second image best for its background which contrasts nicely with the flower.

I agree with John on the second shot Julius. The spider webbing adds a touch of interest and helps balance the blossom's position in the frame.

The first doesn't need quite that much negative space as the blossom is quite prominent. As the blossom is 'looking' right, it could work better if it was in the left side of the frame starting about where the green object is currently positioned. That would give more breathing space on the right side.

Here's a retake on the #1 with your comments in mind. I didn't shoot it with enough space on the right (Both of these were actually posted with next to no PP) to do exactly like I think you suggested, but I did get rid of a lot of that wasted space. I also tried to soften it up a bit after I got rid of some flecks of fresh dirt.
