    Granny's Bonnet

Its bank holiday in the UK and guess what - really awful weather. So this afternoon was spent fiddling with some shots I took in the last week. I wanted to do something with the aquilegia which have self seeded all over my garden and since their common name is Granny's Bonnet - I came up with these.... my first attempt at anything like a 'sepia' colour conversion. C&C welcome

    Hi Kaye,

Just to say that I'm in love with your pink flower. Gorgeous composition and a breathtakingly beautiful pink colour. Truly stunning and one of the most beautiful flower images I've seen.

I love the white version as well, but the pink is so perfect that it won my heart by a landslide.

With thanks to Binnur and tips on how he created the sepia effect I gave this bonnet another go this weekend. I'd also read to add a little noise so tried a very little of that too.

The last one may be the most technically accurate sepia but I like the pinkish version in the OP. Lovely effect.

Hi Kaye, I'm glad that you achieved the sepia effect very nicely. Your pink one has a dreamy effect and the sepia one with some noise is very nostalgic. I like them both for how they make me feel differently

Thanks Dan and Binnur. Looking at them again in the cold light of day, I think you've summed it up - the two images do different things and I like them both for different reasons.
