From a kayak on the Bohemia River

A friend and I enjoy paddling tidal rivers that are tributaries to the Chesapeake Bay. I always take my Sony NEX6 mirrorless camera due to its compact nature, ability to change lens and the decent image quality. What I find to be the great challenge in doing photography from a kayak is that the wind and tide constantly conspire to reframe your photos! These are a few images from a recent afternoon on the Bohemia River in Maryland, USA.

With #3 Andrew, I wonder about a crop from the right side to reduce the 'heaviness' of all that dark area?

But that would mean a similar amount from, I suppose, the bottom or a different size ratio.

Hi Andrew, I like #1 and #2 very much. You can improve #1 with PP as Christina says and #2 is just excellent with lovely colour and sharpness of the leaf
