When we lived there back in the mid 80's it was know as "Secret beach" Virtually unknown except for a few of us in the know. A special place to visit when you wanted to be alone. Low tide was the time to be there, when the water is down you can turn the corner and find yourself in a cathedral of rock arches. Wonderful agates to be found.
We went a while back to see if it was still magical. We parked under the Oregon Parks sign..!!! Right by the trash cans and signs telling the punishments for taking pets. leaving trash lighting fires....... Yes, you've seen them. Then we were told the Secret Beach even has it's own website and blog. My how things change.
We walked down the steep path anyway just to see.....
We didn't get there for low tide but the place was still magic. And we had it to ourselves. It's been 25 years since we were last there, I suppose I don't mind sharing it....Now and then.
