This works reasonably well for me, Binnur. If it were mine, I would crop at the top for three reasons: The upper area of the sky doesn't provide helpful information, cropping helps the viewer focus on the crop (is it wheat?), and I really like the 1 x 2 aspect ratio.

Hi Binnur, nice image, lovely colours If it were mine i would crop as Mike says a little from the top and also a tad from the R/H/S to put the tree in the top third?

Hi, Binnur. Overall a simple yet effective idea. In addition to the prior comments, it may be more effective to shoot from closer to or even standing in the wheat so that the entire foreground is a uniform sea of grain without the messy stuff at bottom right. Recognizing of course the comment is coming from one who is not well versed in landscape nor has knowledge of what you had to work with in the field...

Hi Binnur, I see a band of gold, a band of green and a band of blue. No one object, save the lone tree, is large enough to command attention so there is little to spend time exploring.

One thing you could try would be to get closed enough to the wheat? to be able to focus in on several stalks so that they are much larger in the image. Then I think the rest of the image would support the detail of the wheat stalks. You would likely need a wide angle lens and may need to move closer to the background to get it all in.

Thank you Mike, David, Dan and Frank for viewing and commenting

Mike and David ,here is the crop with 1x2 aspect ratio and the tree is in the top third. Mike , it is a field a bit far from where I live and I went there on my scooter. It seems to be wheat

Dan I left the messy part intentionally in order to add some movement and some color to the image so that the lower part doesn't seem too dull.

Frank, I shot this image for the colours and for some kind of geometry in it. So, there isn't much detail in it . But I have some other shots in the same place with more detail. They don't cover the whole scenery but I think they are worth uploading to CIC for your comments. I'm actually thinking of editing some of them with cyanotype effect if I can manage

I would really like to thank all of you for helping me a lot to improve. When I joined CIC in last December, I nearly know nothing about photography. Now I can at least shoot more properly and I can also do some post processing. I'm really happy to be here with you

    Re: A modest landscape

I would just like to mention that there are a lot of styles of photos that can be obtained from a scene such as this one. Shooting when the sunlight is low and warm would be one style. Shooting with a subject that is revealed up close and in considerable detail as Frank mentioned is another one. Finding a viewpoint revealing a sea of beige as Dan mentioned is another one. Such a viewpoint would perhaps be much easier to obtain if you take a 3-meter ladder with you on your scooter.
