    Stockdale mill

In my travels today I had a few minutes to kill so I stopped by the old Stockdale Mill for a re-visit. It has been several months since I have been here but I think the stop was worth it.

While focusing my attention on the Mill I caught a glimpse of something jumping in the water at the damn. Well, after about 100 shots this is the only one that actually looks like a fish

Not very good at all, but it makes me want to go back when I have more time on my hands.

I suppose this is one of those occasions of having to decide between shooting the mill with a little water in the foreground or the water with the mill as a background.

Considering that excellent sky, I would go for the wider scene.

The first one is my favorite. Nice conversions in all of the monochromes.

Mike, the 1st one is my favorite also. I think the 1/30 shutter softened the water more to my liking.

Here is the color version of the 1st shot...

Thanks Geoff. I think this color version might be a touch better than the mono...
